Applications are now open for the 2026 UNICEF ECW Internship Programme . This is a paid internship for international students in Geneva. Education Cannot Wait (ECW) is dedicated to supporting the education of children and young people (aged 3-18) in countries affected by war, disasters, and protracted crises. UNICEF hosts the ECW Programme. The internship lasts 5-6 months . ECW is seeking a total of five interns. Interns will receive a monthly stipend of US$1,700 . The goal is to provide education for every child . Candidates from around the world are eligible to apply. Candidates not residing in Switzerland will work remotely. Training purpose
The primary objective of this training is to provide technical monitoring and evaluation (M&E), reporting, communications, and operational support to the Education Cannot Wait (ECW) monitoring and evaluation team, while offering trainees an opportunity to learn about the organizational processes that drive the ECW action plan.
Trainee duties
- The annual results report was compiled, analyzed, and summarized.
- Conducting data quality checks and following up with beneficiaries/managers.
- Draft sections of the report (strategic objectives/education outcomes).
- Conducting research, reviewing literature, and mapping reports/evaluations.
- Review programs and assessments to identify patterns, gaps, and learning opportunities.
- Supporting the design and facilitation of learning exchange (online seminars, cross-country sessions).
- Assisting the monitoring and evaluation team with any other duties .
Eligibility criteria
- 18 years old at the time of application.
- Enrolled in a Master's program or
- Holds a bachelor's or master's degree within the last three years.
- Academic background in education, international humanities/development, and/or social sciences.
- The experience of living in a low-middle-income country.
