The AfOx Postgraduate Scholarship 2026-2027 is a fully funded scholarship for African students. This scholarship is offered for Master of Business Administration (MBA) studies at the University of Oxford. The scholarship covers full tuition fees, a living allowance, and a round-trip airfare.

Funded by Eni, the international integrated energy company. In line with its mission, inspired by the UN Sustainable Development Goals, Eni contributes to achieving these goals through strategic collaborations focused on areas of shared interest, such as youth employment, agricultural value chains, renewable energy, and energy efficiency, particularly in Africa. This year, AfOx is offering two fully funded scholarships to outstanding graduates wishing to pursue an MBA at Oxford.

Funded by Eni, the international integrated energy company, Eni has a long history of supporting scholarships. The Enrico Mattei School paved the way for postgraduate studies in Italy and established itself as a leader in management studies in Europe. Since 1957, the school has awarded scholarships to approximately 2,600 young graduates from 111 different countries to attend its Master Media program in the oil and energy industry, thus spreading the Mattei legacy worldwide.

Eligibility criteria for the AfOx postgraduate scholarship

To be eligible for the AfOx postgraduate scholarship, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Language required: English. You will need to demonstrate your English proficiency. Click  here to learn more about the tests and results.
• Eligible countries: Algeria, Angola, Egypt, Gabon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Libya, Morocco, Mozambique, Nigeria, Republic of Congo, South Africa and Tunisia
• You must have at least two years of full-time work experience, detailed in a one-page resume . They are looking for evidence of career progression and international experience, as well as the ability to demonstrate leadership skills. Experience in a specific sector is not required.

How to apply for the AfOx graduate scholarship?

Please follow the application instructions below to apply for the AfOx postgraduate scholarship:

1. You will be asked to detail your career plans after the MBA and explain how the program will equip you with the skills to achieve these goals. By outlining your professional development, you will demonstrate your understanding of your professional strengths, your exploration of your future career objectives, and how the MBA will bridge the gap between them. Please upload all transcripts/academic grades for your undergraduate degree to the online application form.
2. As part of your application, you will need to provide a supporting statement.
   • Tell them something not listed in your application that you would like the admissions committee to know about you. (Maximum 250 words).
   • If you are applying for an Oxford 1+1 Master of Business Administration, you must also submit the following essay:
     Explain why you see this program as particularly useful to you and how it fits with your career and personal development goals. (Max. 250 words).
   • New applicants will be asked to submit an additional essay as follows:
     What improvements have you made to your application since you last applied for an Oxford MBA? (Maximum 250 words).
     When reviewing your essays, the admissions committee will look for evidence of: good communication skills, leadership skills, analytical skills, and compatibility with the Oxford MBA community, among other attributes.

1. You will need to complete five questions via our online assessment platform. To meet with us virtually, learn about your personality, and discover how quick-witted you are, you will need to complete an online assessment as part of your application.
   • Two questions based on motivation - all candidates will answer the same questions
   • Two competency-based questions - to be chosen randomly
   • Written reply - this will be random and lighthearted to show us how you can think on your feet!

1. Using the online application form, you will need to provide two references, preferably from professional reviewers. Once you enter the reviewer's details in the form, the reviewer will automatically receive an email from the college with instructions on how to complete the online recommendation form.
   Please note that references will only be accepted from a valid work/professional/institutional email address, not from Gmail/Hotmail accounts.
2. After ensuring that all the above requirements are met before submitting your application form, use the online application to submit.
3. Please ensure that your application is complete and that the application fee of £150 has been paid when you apply.
4. Once you submit your MBA application, your data will be used to determine your eligibility for this scholarship. No further action is required.
