Eligibility Criteria for the Malaysian International Scholarship 2025-26:

  • Graduates from developing and emerging countries are eligible to apply.
  • Full-time students enrolled in Master's and PhD degrees are eligible to apply.
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time postgraduate student at a Malaysian public or private university supported by MIS.
  • They must have at least two semesters remaining before completing their studies.
  • - Applicants for Master's degrees must not be over 40 years old.
  • Applicants for a PhD degree must not be older than 45 years of age.
  • Applicants for a Master's degree must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or an upper second-class honors degree.
  • Applicants for the doctoral degree must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or excellent academic results during the master's degree.
  • Applicants must write a research proposal of at least 1,000 words.

English language proficiency:

  • Required proficiency demonstrated through standardized tests:
    • IELTS: Minimum score of 3.0 or above.
    • TOEFL Test: Minimum score is 550 or higher.
