Graduate students can obtain practical experience and acquire insight into the workings of the Asian Development Bank through a paid project-based internship program. The ADB Internship Program 2025 is now accepting applications. The program will begin accepting interns in January 2025. The bank encourages applications from motivated and receptive candidates. The ADB Internship Program does not require the IELTS exam.
Twice a year, registered Master's and PhD students can apply for internships offered by the Asian Development Bank. Undergraduate students who are currently enrolled are not eligible to apply. The majority of internships are offered at the ADB Headquarters in the Philippines. The internship will run for eight weeks, with a maximum of eleven weeks. Monthly stipends and flights will be covered by ADB. Below are further specifics.

Monthly Stipend: Up to 26 weeks of a substantial stipend are awarded to students by ADB. It falls between $1,000 and $2,200.
Airfare: Air tickets from the home country to the internship destination are funded and provided by ADB as well.
Applications are assessed by ADB according to the following criteria: degree of interest and drive to contribute to development activities; relevance of work experience and academic studies; and eligibility conditions.
