Applications are now open for the Google Summer of Code (GSoC) 2025 program . This is an international summer program offered by Google . In this program, Google awards grants to contributors who complete a free and open source software development project. Students and new developers from around the world will work on a 12-week programming project with an open source organization under the supervision of a mentor. Each intern will receive a stipend for completing the project. The stipend ranges from $3,000 to $6,000 . The stipend amount is calculated based on the intern's location. GSoC is an activity performed by the participant as a freelance developer and is paid for. It is a fully online program, and you do not need to travel. Eligibility criteria

• Age Requirements: You must be 18 years or older at the time of registration.
• Experience Level: You must be classified as a beginner in open source software development or a student.
• Participation Limit: You can only be accepted as a GSoC contributor once.
• Submitting proposals: You are allowed to submit up to three project proposals. These proposals can be submitted to different entities or multiple proposals to the same entity.

• Review a list of 195  mentoring organizations and use the filters to sort them by your interests.
• Contact organizations via the contact methods listed on the GSoC website immediately.
