The program focuses on developing the management and leadership skills necessary to address issues in education, health, and economic security. The MCW Youth Leaders Scholarship aims to achieve local change through global exchange. The program is a one-year program, and participants will spend 10 days in New York, USA, in July 2026. How will the MCW Young Leaders Fellowship program begin?

A virtual assessment for one month: The program begins with an intensive community survey and needs assessment. Young leaders will be provided with the tools and knowledge necessary to assess their communities.

On-site in the United States (ten days): Young leaders will travel to the United States in July 2026 for ten days. Participants will come to the fellowship with a community issue they wish to address.

Implementing the project virtually: After returning from the United States, the participants will implement those ideas and apply them in their communities.

The 2026 Young Leaders Fellowship will be held in New York and Burlington, Vermont, from July 21 to July 30, 2026.

• You must be between  18 and 26 years old at the start of the program.

Note: MCW requires all accepted participants to pay a deposit fee of $100 USD by March 2026. The deposit will be fully refunded  upon arrival in the United States.
