Applications are now open for the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) Research Internship Program in Japan for the Spring 2026 intake . OIST offers fully-funded internships for international students in Japan. The minimum internship duration is 3 months and the maximum is 6 months. Candidates from all over the world are eligible to apply for the OIST Internship Program. The internship will run in Spring 2026 from April 1, 2026, to September 30, 2026. The OIST Internship Program is open to currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students or those who have graduated with a bachelor's or master's degree from any university. An English proficiency score (IELTS/TOEFL) is not required. Interns will work under the supervision of an OIST supervisor.
