The Azerbaijan Government Scholarship 2025-2026 is a fully funded scholarship for international students who want to pursue undergraduate, master's, or doctoral studies. This scholarship covers tuition fees, international flights, a monthly stipend of 800 Azerbaijani manat, medical insurance, visa, and registration costs.

The educational scholarship programs for citizens of the OIC member states and the educational scholarship program for citizens of the Non-Aligned Movement member states were approved by the orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The programmes provide an annual opportunity for 40 selected candidates to study at leading universities of Azerbaijan in preparatory courses, undergraduate, postgraduate, and MD/residency programmes.

Eligibility Criteria for Azerbaijan Government Scholarship

To qualify for an Azerbaijan Government Scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:

• Required language: English, Malay, or Arabic

• For bachelor’s and general medicine programs— Citizens under 25 years of age
• For postgraduate and residency programs—citizens under 30 years of age
• For PhD programs—citizens under 40 years of age

How to apply for the Azerbaijan Government Scholarship?

Please follow the instructions below to benefit from this grant:

(1) Complete the application form here.

(2) Attach the required documents:

• - Certificates or transcripts of grades from previous secondary or university studies.
• Copy of passport
• Documentation of general health status (including HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis B and C tests)
• CV or resume
• Motivational message
• Proof of English language proficiency (for programs in foreign languages: for undergraduate programmes, IELTS 5, TOEFL 40; for other programmes, IELTS 5.5, TOEFL 50)
  Note: All documents must be translated into English or Russian and notarised.

(3) Documents must be officially submitted by the relevant government entities of your country (ministries, embassies, etc.) to any embassy or to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
