The Chinese government sponsors the 2025 Silk Road Scholarship Program in China to support international students and students to further their studies and conduct research at various universities in China. Eligibility Criteria for Chinese Government Silk Road Scholarship Program 2025:

  • Bachelor's students can apply for the Chinese Language - Business Chinese major.
  • Master's students can apply to the Information Resource Management program.
  • Applicants for the undergraduate program must be over 18 years old and under 25 years old.
  • Applicants for the Master's programme must not be over 35 years of age.
  • Candidates must have the nationality of one of the countries listed along the Belt and Road.
  • Applicants for the Bachelor's program must have a high school diploma, and applicants for the Master's program must have a Bachelor's degree.
  • To apply for the undergraduate program, candidates must have HSK level 5.
  • To apply to the Master's programme, candidates must have IELTS 6.0 / TOEFL 85 or TOEFL Essentials 9.

How to Apply for Chinese Government Silk Road Scholarship Program 2025:

  • Applicants are required to submit one application on the CSC website for the scholarship and another on the Chinese International Student Service System of the University of New Jersey for admission to Nanjing University.
  • First register and apply on the CSC website. 
  • Fill out the online application form.
  • Enter "10284" for the agency number.
  • Select "B" for the program type.
  • Click on the submit button and download the application form.
  • Then register and apply in the Chinese International Student Service System of UNJ.
  • Select “CSC Scholarship” for the program type.
  • Upload the required documents.
  • Submit the form and keep checking your email for updates.

Required documents for Chinese Government Scholarship 2025:

  • Pre-graduation certificate if the degree has not yet been completed.
  • Completed CSC Scholarship Application Form.
  • Academic records.
  • High school diploma or bachelor's degree.

  • HSK test certificate is required for applicants for Chinese bachelor's degree.

  • Personal statement 
  • Applicants for the undergraduate program are required to state their motivation for applying, their understanding of China and Nanjing University, academic proficiency, and plan to study in China.
  • Recent medical certificate 
  • List of research published in professional or scientific journals.
  • The first page of the passport.
  • Certificate of no criminal record.
  • Parental Agreement signed by guardian in China (for applicants under 18 years old until September 1, 2025)
