All students will receive a full scholarship from KAIST. The KAIST Scholarship for International Undergraduate Students includes:
- Full tuition fee : Tuition fee waiver for 8 semesters, covering the entire programme for 4 years.
- Living costs : 350,000 KRW per month
- National health insurance.
KAIST Scholarship Requirements
- The applicant must be an international student.
- The university offers KAIST scholarships to admitted students. Therefore, you must apply for admission and you will automatically receive the KAIST scholarship. No separate application is required.
- Students must maintain a GPA of higher than 2.7 out of 4.3 at KAIST after the first year.

English Proficiency Test Requirements
English Proficiency Test (EPT) scores such as TOEFL, IELTS, etc., and standardised test scores such as SAT, AP, etc. are recommended but not mandatory .
Those who did not get the test result can apply and there will be no negatives .
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants who hold foreign nationality.
- Neither of the applicant’s parents is a Korean citizen; or
- Applicants of Korean origin must have received their entire elementary, middle, and high school education outside of Korea.
- Applicants who hold Korean nationality (including dual nationality) are not eligible to apply as international students.
- Pay the application fee.
