The program provides full scholarships to academically promising graduate and undergraduate students with limited financial means who are sensitive to the concerns of their communities, effective in their environment, and believe in their ability to make a difference.

Eligibility Criteria for the MasterCard Foundation Scholarship Program at the American University of Beirut

To be eligible to join the American University of Beirut Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program, the following points must be considered:

• Required languages:  English
• Eligible countries:  Egypt, Lebanon, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Sudan, Libya, Somalia, Djibouti, Mauritania, Comoros, and other countries from Africa.
• Postgraduate scholarships are open to nationals of Africa and Lebanon, and refugees and displaced persons residing in Lebanon.
• Selection and acceptance are based on: academic promise, financial disadvantage, leadership potential and a desire to give back to your community.
• - Official university record - all levels.
• Graduation Application (Online Application).
• 2 letters of recommendation.
• IELTS or TOEFL certificate is required.
• The GMAT is required for the MBA program. The GRE is required for some majors in the College of Arts and Sciences .
• Application fee ( $50  or  75,000 Lebanese pounds ).
