Victoria University of Wellington Tongarewa Scholarships 2026-2027 are partially funded scholarships for international students. This scholarship is available for undergraduate and master's studies and provides the recipient with up to NZ$10,000.
The Tongarewa Scholarship (“Scholarship”) celebrates the University’s commitment to the international student community. We award a range of these scholarships to international students each year. This is a partial tuition-based scholarship that will go towards paying tuition fees for one year. Applicants can either enter the first year of an undergraduate degree or enter a postgraduate program at Victoria University of Wellington.
Scholarships are awarded competitively on the basis of academic excellence. Students apply for study in the year following their application and will be included in their tuition fees. Shortlisted candidates may be asked to provide additional information to support their application. Scholarship recipients are guaranteed an offer of a place in one of our halls of residence, provided the accommodation service receives their application before the deadline.
