Islamic Development Bank Scholarship 2025/2026 (Fully Funded)

Applications are now open for the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Scholarship 2025/26 . It is a fully funded and one of the largest scholarship programmes for undergraduate , master’s , doctoral and post -doctoral degrees at an IDB partner university. The IDB scholarship covers tuition fees, accommodation, round-trip air tickets, monthly stipend, book/clothing allowance and medical allowance. IDB does not charge any application fee at any stage. The IDB scholarship is open to citizens of IDB member countries and members of Muslim communities residing in non-member countries. 1) Islamic Development Bank Scholarship Program for Academic Excellence (MSP)

This program offers scholarships to PhD and post-doctoral students from top universities in the world. This program is open to IDB member countries .

Member States of the Islamic Development Bank : Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Benin, Brunei Darussalam, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Chad, Comoros, Côte d'Ivoire, Djibouti, Egypt, Gabon, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Maldives, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Suriname, Syria, Tajikistan, Togo, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uganda, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Yemen.

2) Islamic Development Bank Scholarship Program for Master of Science

Successful candidates are required to secure admission to a university within an IDB member country ranked within the top 1,000 universities by The Times Higher Education Supplement.

List of the 20 least developed member countries: Afghanistan, Benin, Burkina Faso, Chad, Comoros, Djibouti, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Maldives, Mauritania, Mozambique, Niger, Palestine, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Togo, Uganda, Yemen.

3) Scholarship Programme for Muslim Communities in Non-Member Countries

This programme supports young Muslims from non-IsDB member countries to pursue university degrees in medicine, engineering, technology, agriculture and related fields at recognised public universities in the students’ countries.

List of eligible countries with Muslim communities: Australia, Canada, Croatia, Ethiopia, Fiji, Germany, Ghana, India, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Myanmar, Namibia, Nepal, Netherlands, Russian Federation, Rwanda, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand, Philippines, Trinidad and Tobago, Vietnam, Zambia, Liberia, Cambodia, Mauritius, Macedonia.

4) IDB Scholarship Program for Least Developed Member Countries of the Islamic Development Bank

The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD) Scholarship Programme targets students from 21 Least Developed Member Countries (LDCs) of the Islamic Development Bank. The Programme provides funding for undergraduate degrees or technical diplomas in medicine, engineering, agriculture and other related fields from universities in
member countries that have signed agreements with the IsDB (Malaysia, Morocco
and Turkey).

List of IDB member countries among the 21 least developed countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Benin, Burkina Faso, Chad, Comoros, Djibouti, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Mauritania, Mozambique, Niger, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Togo, Uganda, Yemen.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The IDB Scholarship is open to IDB member countries and Muslim communities in non-member countries.
  • Candidates can apply for Bachelor's, Master's, PhD and Post-Doctoral research degrees.
  • There is no application fee.
