Description

Amazon is looking for a maintenance technician to join its team at one of its fulfillment centers, working in a fast-paced, highly automated environment.

By ensuring the continuous operation of critical machinery, Amazon's Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team plays a vital role in our operations. As a Reliability Maintenance Technician, you will maintain a wide range of equipment and workspaces while adhering to health and safety best practices. You will contribute to the safety of your colleagues and prevent machine downtime. Our Reliability Maintenance Technicians improve the availability and quality of our equipment and enhance our operating environment.

Our reliability maintenance technicians are on-site to quickly respond to any technical issues affecting our operations. You will perform a range of planned preventative maintenance on equipment at our sites to ensure it is operating properly and does not pose any safety risks. As a reliable maintenance technician, you will quickly respond to malfunctions, investigate problems, and resolve them as quickly as possible. You will also be responsible for making suggestions for sustainable operational improvements.

A typical day: Working alongside experienced colleagues, you'll perform daily maintenance tasks such as painting and plumbing, and communicate with outside contractors as needed. You'll work as part of a team to ensure our sites have 24/7 technical support, enabling Amazon to deliver its products with the speed for which it's known.

Tasks

Perform preventive and proactive maintenance tasks for site equipment

Perform reactive repair and troubleshooting tasks in an efficient distribution center.

Using the best tools to improve equipment operation

Adherence to all health and safety policies and practices

Support the development and progression of trainees on-site

Working on continuous improvement projects and implementing best practices across many of our locations within the European Union.
