Work and duties

• Production planning: Collaborate with the farm manager and chief agricultural engineer to determine crop types, quantities, and timing based on market and weather conditions to ensure the best yields.
• Operations management: Planning, coordinating, and supervising the entire crop production cycle, from soil preparation and planting (including seed selection, weeding, thinning, and pruning) to harvesting.
• Quality and post-harvest: Supervising the inspection, grading, storage, packaging and dispatch of products, ensuring the identification of defective products and managing post-harvest processing.
• Agriculture: Direct supervision of fertilization and pest and weed control, immediate identification and management of crop diseases, pests, and weeds. Monitoring of field operations (water, fertilizers, and chemical use).
• Logistics and Sales: Organizing the sale, purchase, and dispatch of products, monitoring market activity, and planning production to meet contract requirements.
• Maintenance: Performing basic equipment maintenance, cleaning, and maintenance of agricultural buildings, fences, and water systems.
• Management and supervision: Maintaining and evaluating records of agricultural activities, supervising field work cycles/schedules, managing and training assigned staff/contractors, and reporting any issues related to production, quality, or safety.

• Official qualifications: Level 3 or 4 certificate in agriculture or a related field, plus at least 2 years of relevant experience, or at least 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in horticultural operations or farm management.
• - Experience in managing potato, carrot and onion crops (desirable).
• Unrestricted category C driving license ( required ).
• Chemical user certification certificate ( required ).
• Forklift license ( required ).
• HC ( Basic ) License.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and experience working with large-scale agricultural machinery.
