The UNHCR will provide support to trainees who do not receive any support from other organizations in the following areas:

  • Salary: Trainees will receive a salary to cover basic living expenses and local transportation.
  • Travel: The UNHCR will reimburse the costs of round-trip travel.
  • Visa: The UNHCR will assist with the visa application process. Trainees are responsible for the visa fees.

Eligibility criteria

  • Applicants from all countries are welcome to apply.
  • You are a current graduate/undergraduate student studying at a UNESCO-accredited university (search for your university's name). If your institution's name appears, you are eligible.
  • Students and recent graduates are eligible to enroll in the UNHCR  internship program .
  • New graduates are those who graduated in the past two years.
  • An IELTS certificate or any other language test is not required to fill this position.
