▶️ Volunteer period: 30 days (10/09/2025 - 09/10/2025) ▶️ Study topic: Disasters ▶️ Volunteer location: Sorgun, Yozgat, Turkey The "Your Future" project is an ESC team volunteer project supported by the European Commission. In each team, 10 young volunteers will participate in a 30-day volunteer program, receiving training on key topics such as disaster preparedness, climate change, post-disaster recovery, and community resilience. These trainings will be supported by workshops, seminars, field visits, and various group activities, fostering collaboration among volunteers. Volunteers will organize training sessions, events, and campaigns for local children, youth, and adults, and share their acquired knowledge with the community. These activities aim to raise public awareness, create a more disaster-prepared society, and promote intercultural dialogue. Accommodation, food and transportation arrangements

Volunteers will share an apartment in Sorgun, featuring double rooms, shared bathrooms, and a shared kitchen. The coordinating organization, SORGED, will provide accommodation. You will live with other ESC volunteers, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment throughout the project. The apartment will be equipped with kitchen appliances and internet access, allowing volunteers to easily meet their daily needs. As part of the project, volunteers will receive: ✅ €6 per day as pocket money ✅ €6 per day as a food allowance. In addition, travel costs will be reimbursed based on the cost of travel.

Training during activity

Volunteers will participate in the program and receive training on key topics such as disaster preparedness, climate change, post-disaster recovery, and community resilience. This training will be supported by a variety of workshops, seminars, field visits, and group activities, fostering collaboration among volunteers. Volunteers will organize training sessions, events, and campaigns for local children, youth, and adults, sharing their acquired knowledge with the community.

Participant's profile

**Volunteers participating in the program must have the following qualifications:** ✅ Be culturally engaged, creative, energetic, and outgoing ✅ Be team-oriented, responsible, and open to new experiences ✅ Have sufficient English language skills to communicate effectively ✅ Be solution-oriented, tolerant, organized, and compliant with regulatory rules ✅ Willing to volunteer in the community and take responsibility ✅ Open to learning, training, and new experiences **Special interests and experiences** ✅ Familiar with or eager to learn about disaster preparedness and climate change
