Scholarship Coverage

Budapest Metropolitan University Scholarships provide the recipient with the following benefits:

• The winners of the Excellence Scholarship are eligible to get a 500 EUR discount/semester (1000 EUR discount/year).
• The winners of the Excellence Scholarship are also eligible to receive the discount during the rest of their studies, subject to the following conditions:
  • Outstanding study performance
  • They complete an internship of 60 hours per semester at one of the administrative offices of METU, starting in the second semester. The tasks may include sales and marketing tasks, representation at higher education fairs, organizing student events, etc.

Eligibility Criteria for the Budapest Metropolitan University Scholarships

To be eligible for Budapest Metropolitan University scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Required Languages: English
• Eligible Countries: All World Countries

Applicants showing particular academic excellence (Bachelor’s level):

• English level minimum. C1
• Excellent performance at the Skype interview during the application process.
• Should a math test be required, the applicant must achieve a minimum score of 80%.
• In the case of art and design programs, the professors should assign a high rating for the design portfolio (min. 30/35).
• High school GPA and grades min. 80%, e.g.:
• SAT 1280/1600
• IB 6/7
• Cambridge IGCSE: a minimum of 2 A-levels or 4 AS-levels.
• We also accept all other national/international high school diplomas; the GPA always has to be above 80%

Applicants showing particular academic excellence (master’s level):

• English level min. C1.
• Applicants should demonstrate exceptional performance during the Skype interview phase of the application process.
• In the case of art and design programs, the professors should assign a high rating for the design portfolio (min. 30/35).
• Bachelor’s GPA min. 80% in case it’s available at your previous university, min. First Class Bachelor of Honours Degree.
• The final decision about the scholarship allocation will be made by the admission committee.
• The maximum number of scholarship winners is 30 students.
