Responsibilities
Main task:
Providing lessons that inspire students to succeed and achieve the best possible results.

- Specific duties
Education and Learning:
- Clear understanding of the curriculum
- Organize the provision of learning resources in the classroom, and create displays to encourage a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Plan, prepare and deliver sessions that meet the needs of all ability levels within the classroom.
- Motivating students through enthusiastic and innovative teaching
- Monitor and evaluate children in line with school assessments.
- Consider classroom conditions, taught sessions, and progress, and adjust the environment, planning, and curriculum accordingly.
- Meeting with other professionals, such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists, as needed.
- Ensure that the language and attitudes of Yasmina British Academy teachers and learners are integrated into the curriculum.
Evaluation and data:
- Take responsibility for the progress of the class.
- Meet the requirements for assessing and recording student progress using the Goal Tracker.
- Provide feedback to parents and caregivers about student progress at parent-teacher conferences and other meetings.
Behavior and Duties Management:
- Follow the school's behavior policy.
- Manage classrooms effectively, using methods appropriate to students' needs, to inspire, motivate and motivate them.
- Maintain good relationships with students, exercise appropriate authority, and act decisively when necessary within the framework of the school's behavioral policy.
- To be a good role model, consistently demonstrating the positive attitudes, values, and behaviors expected of students.
- Set high behavioral expectations and promote self-control and independence in all learners.
- Perform tasks as directed and within school policy.
Broader professional responsibilities:
- Work as part of the curriculum team, supporting the planning, assessment, resources, and special events associated with this team.
- Support the organization and participation in school events, outings, and activities that may take place on weekends or in the evenings.
- Communicate effectively with parents/carers regarding student achievement and well-being, using school systems/processes such as the Learning Management System (CPOMS) as appropriate.
- Contribute to the Saturday sports schedule.
- Sports clubs before and after school.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or other teaching qualification.
Required experience:
- At least 2 years’ experience teaching a specialist subject up to GCSE and A Level.
